With bonus $kaybait included. It should be easy enough to find.

General lack of pictures though, compared to usual. I was too busy preventing my drool from getting onto some of those cars.

Also, for anyone who saw it, how on earth did so many people fall for the fake Countach, or how was I the only person who noticed it wasn't a real one? No pic, because fake.

It was nice meeting you all, and for the record, I'm officially jealous of a certain supercharged Marauder. I'll admit it.

Everyone out taking artsy as fuck photos, meanwhile I'm just roaming around "Car *click* Car *click* Car *click*"

I figured something with that countach wasn't right. I didn't really look at it up close but those hazy as **** lights didn't aid to the fact that it was right.

The dash was the biggest tell on it to me. The front end proportions were all wrong, and the "hood" wasn't popped for a reason (might have even been some reason other than lambo never had a V6 option). I suspect it was a Fiero based kit. It just looked like a joke to me.

yeah, people were actually giving me dirty looks when I was pointing out everything that didnt line up with it. One older couple seemed surprised that i found it so obvious.

the people didnt want to let me in, and when i finally convinced them, i pulled up and they tried to turn me away again. Next time Im going to leave earlier, and we should organize a drive up so we can arrive together. I was also told that its best to arrive by 7:30. I dont look forward to it, but it can be done.

I got up at 5am because I had to go pick up my friend with the Grand National. He left his car at my house in my garage and stayed at his friends apartment like 10min away, so I hopped in the GN and picked him up. We all left by 6 and got there right around 7:30

Next time I'm going to NOT go to sleep at 2am

No problem! Its too bad we didnt have more tools and little thing to actually try fixing it better.

I did notice you were losing power for a while, i thought you were missing shifts until you dissapeared briefly. Next time will be better!

Agreed! We stopped in NYC first and lost the most time there, but things were weird. May should be better. Ill have to get a spec sheet for the window, maybe then it'll look like a show car.

Needs a serious washing too, maybe it was the dust all over it that didnt help.

I was going to try and sneak in closer to the main area, where all those SLS's were tucked away. I need to buff the clear coat and wax it. The monoblocks actually just need to be rinsed, the wheel protector should be fine, just brake dust covering a little.

If 3 fiat 500's can park in a row down there, I think we can sneak a few oppo cars in there.

Who was selling the Oppo stickers? I wonder if I can get a magnet....

3 fiat 500's, which one of them belonged to someone on oppo!

I don't know what the agenda was for car organizing but it sucked

haha yes I noticed that you passed me and I hadn't noticed the car was losing that much power at that point and then when I went up the hill and downshifted into third and the car started majorly slowing down, I knew I was screwed haha.

Does your gf have any pictures from the day?

I would do fuel lines from tank to filter, and I would actually see if you can use some other kind of fuel filter, like the clear ones, so you can keep an eye on it. I would also put in a fuel shutoff under the hood. That way, if this happens again, you can work on it more easily. I'm curious about why the fuel filter is so massive.

Then obviously plugs, and start pulling some of those random wires. I don't know porsche engines, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it doesn't have that many random wires going around, not plugged into anything. I'd also check all your grounds. I have two grounds on my neon I need to fix, but a lot of neons will just run like crap (or not at all without them all connected and clean). It's tough for me to get into the city/long island, but if I could get some time, I'd totally help you out with it. I'd fix the car, there's no reason not to once you slay the gremlins under the hood. Some fresh paint, and TLC, and it'll be good for another 20+ years.

A few, I'll go through and resize the pictures for web later today and put them up. Just a few pictures of us all hanging out in the parking lot before leaving though. Against what I'm normally up to, the camera had less than 90 pictures. I usually fill up a card before half the show is over. I'll stick them up soon.

Re: Countach, it was a really good replica. I noticed the doors didn't look right and the badge on the back was clearly wrong (also, it was a V8 sound that fired up!). Otherwise, it looked fairly legitimate. And I guess knowing that Jota was real, why question a Countach?!

I don't argue that it had a place in the show, or that it was parked where it was. I was just a little shocked that people were confused. I could see a very shiny intake cover underneath that hood, and it's butt was way too high.

Last summer I met a guy with a 1984 Countach, so I know what to look for, and chrome under the hood is an immediate red-flag.

Was there more than one Jota? I feel like I saw more than one..One by the Diablo, and another by the Countach...I took a picture of one of them. I think the other had a pink/sparkly paint job that my girlfriend was really into.

I'm fairly sure that (maroon car/gold wheels)'s the only Jota in the U.S. Only 7 in the world. That's chassis #4892.

Okay, I might be getting a few cars confused. I didn't take enough pictures.

I'll have to fix that next time.

I pretty much just aimed my camera and camcorder randomly and took whatever I could get. 2 hours is not enough time to digest what you're seeing!
